Maine Park Quin is an outstanding bull that is the result of Maine Park’s careful breeding process and his semen is now being prepared for export. This bull offers Australia, Europe and beyond the whole package with no double muscling and none of the problems that come with it.

Maine Park Quin, purebred Maine-Anjou, DNA tested polled/scurred, smooth muscled and small birth weight – a proven high weight gain bull, fed on grass only.

The first Maine Park Quin bull calf born, polled, 24kg out of Maine Park Penny. We have been working on lowering the birthweight while maintaining the growth for age of our cattle since we started breeding in 1988 and this calf is proof of our select breeding program. While still maintaining some of the heaviest Maine-Anjou cattle, grass fed only weight for age in Australia.

Maine Park Quin is the traditional Maine colour but carries all the traits that the beef cattle industry expects in this day and age. He is a great example of the modern Maine-Anjou the world has been waiting for.

Maine Park Quins’ dam Wattle Glen Norma is always one of the first cows in the herd to have a calf on the ground every year. She is structurally perfect and does a great job on her calves.

Quins’ sire Maine Park Nigel has a paternal line that goes back to Maine Park Jumpstart. The bulls from this line were the turning point for the weight for age in the Maine Park herd. With the easy calving and excellent weight gain, this is a line that shows improvement in every generation.

Maine Park Nigel was top priced bull at the Maine-Anjou Beef National Sale in 2019. He is currently working in a commercial beef herd of over 300 cows.

The sire of Nigel – Maine Park Layley is on King island and has been used over Shorthorn and Maine cross cows with proven success for the last 5 years. He is still going strong. Layley is producing offspring that weigh in at over 700kg at 2 years old – grass fed only.

With this proven background Maine Park Quin is a young sire that is destined to make some marked differences in other herds.
