March 2026 Update
Maine Park Xanthe a 2 week old polled heifer, birthweight 30kg, one of our traditional bloodlines with Wattle Glen George her sire. A bull that performed well in the showring including winning grand champion bull against a large number of Maines and then placing reserve interbreed bull at Mt Gambier against strong competition around 2013. Wattle Glen George was then sold to a large commercial roan Hereford/Shorthorn operation at Yinnar, where he lived the rest of his life out.
Maine Park Xanthe is out of Wattle Glen Glenda, a 15 year old, 100% sound female.
Another purebred Maine-Anjou bull sold into East Gippsland; Maine Park Vincent 15 months old, 650kg grassfed. We already have an order for another bull next year, as this bull is an example of what our commercial cattle buyer want. Adding Maines into commercial herds is helping to push the breed further into the beef industry and keeping the breed alive. We're proud beeders of traditional, black and red coloured Maine-Anjou for the past 40 years.
Maine Park Wal 8.5 months old, homozygous polled bull 360kg grassfed no grain, birthweight 40kg. Weaned at 6.5 months old and out of a first calving heifer, Maine Park Ugenie and sired by Maine Park Udo, DNA parent verified as with all Maine Park cattle. This bull is progeny from three generations of Maine Park and Anjouliette Maine-Anjou cattle on both sides of his parentage.
8-12 month old Maine Park & Anjouliette Maine-Anjou purebred heifers, sired by Ironbark Prince, Maine Park Terrific and K&K Bo'Diddly. These heifers are a great example of how our cattle perform under commercial conditions.
